Social Projects
The Sacred Heart of Mary School develops several projects of solidarity in order toawaken the students’ consciousness of social justice. Here are some examples:
– Visits to local institutions that help thechildren, the elderly and the disabled; students get involved in organizing games, plays and dance performances. They also offer them handmade gifts.
Participation in the nationwide campaign against hunger twice a year (May and December). Volunteer students spend a day in local supermarkets to collect food for those in need.
– The School Solidarity Center (CAS) aims to support the families of our students who are in need. It’s coordinated by a Sister, with the support of the Solidarity Club and the Tutors.
Parents take part in the solidarity campaigns.
